shape2Text transforms ESRI shapefiles into Ascii files. Ascii files have the
advantage that can be interpreted by virtually any application and are also
human readable.
Some of the most common extensions for Ascii files are CSV (comma
separated values) that can be opened directly into a Microsoft Excel sheet
and TXT that can be opened with the Notepad application.
shape2Text can save the output file as CSV, TXT and TAB format.
shape2Text is a three steps tool:
1) Select Input File (shp)
2) Specify Output File (csv, txt or tab)
3) Click on the button "Transform"
shape2Text is a beta freeware tool. This program doesn't need
to be installed, just unzip it and run it.
